A new era of localization is dawning that can meet the urgent requirements of decarbonization and community resilience. But seizing this opportunity will require new forms of local finance. MichaelShuman, a business professor at Bard College and author of five books on localization, will review cutting-edge developments in the field of local investment and their relevant for Japn and the world.
ABOUT MICHAEL SHUMAN:
Michael H. Shuman is an economist, attorney, author, and entrepreneur, and a leading visionary on community economics. He is an Adjunct Professor at Bard Business School in New York City. He is also a Senior Researcher for Council Fire, where he performs economic-development analyses for states, local governments, and businesses around North America.
